What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Last week SUSE Linux 12 SP2 was released. A hidden gem: SUSE has worked hard with AWS to enable the Elastic Network Adapter with 20 Gbps Networking.

When we released our Advanced Backup Solution, I promised to re-test X1 with 2 TB RAM once the Operating System would support 20 Gbps Networking.

I am going to do the test using our One Click Disaster Recovery Feature.

Configuration

Recovery Steps

  1. Provision a new EC2 Instance
  2. Run Installation and Configuration
  3. Recover Dataset from S3
  4. System running with recovered data

This End to End Recovery now takes 20 minutes !!!

Using Ocean9 the HANA Administrator can recover in the primary or secondary region. It does not make a difference in terms of cost, performance or complexity.

So I ran the test in Oregon, even though the Backup Original is in N. Virginia (2200 miles apart).

Travel from Virginia to Oregon in 20 minutes

On the System Recovery Screen the user can select

  • EC2 Instance Type
  • Dev/Test or Production Grade configuration
  • SAP HANA Revision
  • SUSE Linux Operating System Version

For AWS / SAP solution architects: Observed Storage Peaks

  • Read Backup from S3: 580 MB / second (we further tuned our Native S3 link)
  • Read / Write to File System by SAP HANA: 900 MB / second

Absolutely Amazing !
